"Those Were the Best Days of My Life..."

"...back in the summer of '69 2011"

With August coming to a close and summer soon ending, I thought i'd recap what i'd consider to be one of the best summers of my life! I haven't been able to post very much as my husband and i are in the process of moving and we've been busy building IKEA furniture. For those of you who own and have had to build your own IKEA furniture, you know how time consuming it is to build one piece... now times that by 14 pieces of big furniture. -____- In fact today, it took me about 5 hours to build one dresser. ONE dresser. Anyway, that's besides the point... here are my top favourite memories from this summer (you can click each link to read the full post):

got married // visited the philippines again after 10 years // 2nd wedding reception in the philippines // met krissy & jessica in the philippines who i was waiting to meet for 2 years! // my 24th birthday // met passion, leejay, victor kim, and others // got involved in my first benefit concert // my clothing lines fall photoshoot // and many memorable days in between!

from my fall photoshoot - read more about it here!

What has been the best part of your summer?

the month of August though its no longer summer here in our country, was pretty crazy for me.

IKEA might be a bit complicated but their pieces are so pretty i think. I remember I almost broke our light fixture while changing the bulb coz it was heavy and a lot of screwing was involved.

i totally know what you mean about ikea furniture.. i'm not a fan.. it takes FOREVER to assemble and the directions.. are.. very difficult to understand to say the least haha.

yes! i know this summer was special for you ;D how nice!!! we have really bad weather here this summer. i think it is showing our depressed economy... some people say natural disaster happens when we have such a feeling and i think that is true. it seems like those hard times (like 311) are washing away our unnecessary ideas.

anyways, i totally agree with the ikea furnitures! haha but that is another best day for you ;D

I always thought my life would make a good movie. LOL!!! I know it wouldn't. It would be just be a collection of weird experiences--one act plays that don't tie together or lead to anything.

I don't think anything I did this summer can compare to yours! I lol'd IRL when I read how long it took you to do that dresser... I probably only beat you by like an hour or so though :/

I don't think I could've built even just one dresser on my own, so you da man (woman) Kym!!!

Yay for an eventful summer! And memorable too, not just for you but also for me and Krissy! I hope fall's gonna be just as crazy! Now that I mentioned it, I envy you guys cos you have autumn. :(

Isn't it always to have a great summer? :) you totally deserved it. Will it be a cozy creative winter or more adventures? or a mix of both?

Hey KYM! Omg it seems like you had one crazy summer! I've built IKEA furniture before and lemme say, KUDOS to you! It ain't easy! (which is why some of my shelves are backwards, yes they have a front and back and since they're nailed on there's nothing I can do about it!!!) BUT we want cheap right? I definitly think it can be fun when done together as a couple but hey, SO's can't always be there right? Oh and what's up with the weather? It's HOT! No complaints though! Gonna enjoy it while it lasts! =D

Oh and as for the urban tea merchant, I have a love and hate relationship with the place. The service there is unbeatable!!!! I once sat there for 5 hours chatting with my friend and they we're beyond sweet! The hate part is the food, it's not always....great. It's not bad but there is usually a piece or two that I really really dislike and rather not eat and NOT pack home =( (I'd suggest the shangri- la but I believe they're under renovations at the moment) I hope you do enjoy your experience though and remember to point that pinky high! =D

I totally miss summer though, yours sounded so amazing and I wish I could have shared more of it with you! The best part of my summer was definitely B.C. in May (technically spring but whatevs lol) and Europe in August. Miss you cats!!

I like to think that I love building Ikea furniture too but when we start... I always end up letting my boyfriend do all the work while I just lounge around and watch. :P

Oh yeah and my best part of summer is the good weather and being able to spend a lot of it outside and doing fitness-related activities!
