The Way Men & Women Think...

Actually, my initial idea for the title of this post was "Women Are Smart, Men Are Not" but I got overruled. Hahaha, just kidding! Still friends, Rick? Nino? :P

Once a month, the young married (or engaged) couples in our church get together to hang out, eat, and rant about our significant others. :P Yesterday, we played a couples game where the guys were asked questions about us while we were not in the room, then we came in and answered the questions to see how well our men knew us... and vice versa. It was really interesting and hilarious to see the thought process of men and women during this game. For example:

His answer was a), mine was c). First of all, i've probably only used a hammer twice in my life and secondly, zero out of two times were done in the presence of my fiance. When I asked him why he picked that, he said that he thought it'd be something i'd be good at. Haha! Another question asked "What would your wife prefer to do on your date?" a) dinner and a movie b) watching a game c) candlelight dinner d) stay home and cuddle. I answered with a) dinner and a movie because that's what we usually do and we both enjoy it. He chose c) candlelight dinner because he says I always bug him about doing "romantic" things. Haha!

My fiance wanted me to let all of you know that...
MEN DO LISTEN! (They're just good at making it look like they don't.) ^_^

on a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the listening skills of guys?

At first K gave me a one. But after I pouted a little she laughed and said I get a ten!!!

I have a good memory, but I'm not above writing things down if I think it's important and I really need to remember what she said.

Still friends? I sure hope so! =)

Some guys do have hearing/listening problems hahahaha (or maybe they are just too good at acting :p)! However, I once encountered a guy who remembered everything I've told him. It's funny how I didn't even know that I already told him those things :> Um so I think I'll give them a 7! Hahaha.

All guys are different so I can't rate them as a whole. My bf, of almost 7 years, is really great at pretending that he doesn't hear but he really does and it shocks me most of the time. I want to at least give them a 7 :)

i'm not really sure! sometimes they listen really well and sometimes i'm shocked at the lack of listening ability, hahaha.

i can't rate, because i find that they do indeed listen -- but only if they're interested! hahaha

haha seems like an interesting game :)
I love the date question!

Oh and we are getting married this Saturday, but Matt moved into our new place already because it was open and we had to jump on it because it was exactly what we wanted!

Men do not listen. We're just good at making it look like we do! :P And when you girls are pressuring us (I mean nagging), we're good at improvising and if you want a romantic Romeo, we will become one in a jiff! :)

My hubby’s listening skills can be really good! So good that he used to be clueless about brands. Now, whenever he hears me talk about Chanel, LV, Prada, Gucci, he knows how to switch off after that. Ok on a more serious note. He would listen with all his heart whenever he snubbed me for warcraft. I know that I can’t talk to him when he’s fighting or raiding but once he stops, he’ll be on all ears to listen to what I have to say to make up for snubbing me.

On your blogging peeves a few posts down, I can really identify with your post. I dislike people who beg for followers. “I follow you, you follow me” is helluva annoying. I’ll follow if I really like your blog content or if I feel that we’ve been having lots of 2-way communication. I would also follow people whom I feel a connection to or who really read my words and leave long and sincere comments. I would rather have a few sincere followers who really read me and comment rather than to have 1000 followers who leave me comments like “You’re friggin cute!” “The food is deli” “I love your photos”. Whenever I follow a blog, I would leave a note to tell the author I’m following them but I do not in any way request for them to follow me back and I hope they haven’t misinterpreted my words so far.

I’ve been reading a few bloggers posts on blogging etiquette and pet peeves it’s giving me the inspiration to write one too.

i think my hubby has good listening skills, and he actually rmbrs details at times...of course most of the details consist of stuff that i dont want him to rmber, like how my make up was horrible on our first date~~~ ^_^

but in general he listens, and he rmbers the important sutff, and i think thats good enuff for me, although i wish he can give me more surprises than just taking me shopping, i mean ithink surprises are more thoughtful, cuz then i know he's being listening to wt i want, and given some though of preparing it...anywho, thats just my 2 cents on guys and their listening skills~~~

I think they only listen if they're interested in you. Else you're just another person who happens to be in their life XD I'd rate their listening skills a 6.

Oh this post was super entertaining and funny. Honestly I was surprised that when my boyfriend and I talk about past conversations we've had before we started dating I wouldn't remember a thing, lol. I'd be like OH gosh I said that? LOL. He's like yea I listen, unlike you... HAHA. I just have such bad memory!

I think most men listen they just pretend they don't so they can get away with a lot of things, haha.

AWWW, guys do listen but I feel like they definitely choose to NOT LISTEN sometimes when we're: A.) nagging B.) complaining, etc. hahah. My guy listening skills are about a 8-9. LOL.

I will definitely let you know about the essie nail polishes when I get them this weekend. I totally agree with you, nail polishes are expensive, I think blogging has enabled me b/c I used to only wear black wet n wild or nyc nail polish and that was IT! It's a crazy obsession now...oh geez.

Hehe this is really cute. The hubs is actually really good at listening! So good it surprises me sometimes haha. He just doesn't listen if I'm 1. Nagging or 2. Yelling... But if you think about it if someone was nagging or yelling at you would you listen either? Hehehe

Hahah such an interesting post. I rate men below 5 for sure...around 2-3 I think :) Just followed your blog <3

What a cute game!! I think men listen half of the time.

Hahaha thats funny! I think it all depends on the situation how much a guy is listening to you. Most of the time they're probably listening, but the rest of the time, they'll probably have forgotten what you said.

this is a funny incident kym! :) the way your guy tried to explain his answers...hahaha :) now I'm wondering what the other guys in the group answered their questions and how they justified their answers :)

Depends on the day! Today I give Adam a 2 because I asked him to take a vertical photo but he kept doing horizontal.

Wow that sounds like a fun game! My bf listens pretty well and if I ever go too fast or gets excited he tells me to slow down hahaha I love how he can tell me what he's honestly feeling though instead of keeping it in! You and your fiancée are so cute!!!!
