Lost in Translation

You know how sometimes you look at a piece of expensive artwork and think... "what the heck?" a black dot in the middle of a canvas and they charge $5000 for it? Well this is my version.

Like my latest piece of artwork? :P
(It's whats going on in my brain at the moment)

How would you translate this?

It represents a post-modern, expressionist view of modern life.

It represents a family in turmoil, with the youngest daughter (the green) feeling lost in the shuffle.

It looks like a diagram for connecting a cable box, a DVR, a VCR, and a Wii to your television.

It looks like the process legislation goes through to pass the US House and Senate.

It looks like cartoon cats and dogs fighting.

It looks like...

I kept going because if you come up with a catchy meaning, it could be worth $5,000. It's all about the spin.

PS - Why must you make me think??? ;P

LOL, I like what Little Miss Tiara said--"giddiness and curiosity" seems to fit you well. =)

RYC: I didn't have the option of remaining hidden, I was out in the open too quickly and had to go with it. So no bravery, just making the best of the situation.

One more comment from me on this post and it will appear to others that I'm stalking you. ;P

colourful and somewhat happy (since they're all nice bright colours and no dark colours)
I'm not a very artsy person haha

each color represents an emotion and i think they're interlocked with each other because they totally know how to harmonize with each other.

i think this piece of art work would cost about $987,654,321

You sound like a shrink in those movies, where the psychopath is given some weird drawings and has to explain them. So you wanna find out who is the real psycho among your followers, eh, Kym? Ok, let me help you, since I'm a hobby shrink myself and good at revealing people's real identities. Let me interpret their comments:

1 de.lizzy.cious: Ok, she's talking about being calm. You know, psychos are calm first and then they suddenly explode. She's suspicous.

2 InsideOutElle: Ok, she's not a psycho, she lacks imagination.

3 Little Miss Tiara: Nope. No psycho. Psychos don't use lol.

4 RicAdeMus: Oh... I'm just saying 3 comments O_O

5 Connie: Psychos would never say things like yarn balls. She's fine.

6 Ochikeron: Ok, that's a close call :P

7 ILoveChocolateee: No, she's fine.

8 abby ybba: The blogger user name is supicious and how she came up with that number as well. I think she's a candidate.

9 MKL: Ok, he's the biggest pyscho. Not only is his comment weird (what's with all that shrink stuff?) he's now even evaluating himself without knowing. OMG, stay away from him... he's the leader of all your psycho followers :P

Have a lovely day, artsy Kym ;)

Cheers.

I don't understand why some of artwork is so expensive when it looks very simple. :)

i love your little masterpiece here and honestly i suck at reading art. i think with art you read it and analyze it the way you want to. however, i also don't get how some people can do something so all over the place and get paid thousands for it or even get famous off it, lol. especially for something so super simple.

That you like pastel colors and ice cream? (I see ice cream for some reason...haha...I must be hungry ;)

Definitely gotta write back to your email soon since it had me dropping my jaw but first I must translate this masterpiece!

I see one huge bunny rabbit (bottom right-hand corner) and two tiny bunny rabbits (upper left-hand corner) who are decorating their home with easter streamers, hence the pastel colours. GENIUS haha. Love you, hope you've had a great weekend!

Cute ! :-P

My sister & I were talking about modern art the other day and how people often criticise it due to unbelief that a so-called simple, child-like painting could be sold for $5000. Haha. It's like my dad who often muttered to us when we went to the Guggenheim exhibition, "I could do that !" But the thing is .. you didn't ! And that perhaps is what modern art is all about. Artists creating works that you didn't ! X-D

ps. I actually do quite like modern art.
