I Ta Chi, Yeah!
Our first set of exchange students are gone :( In the beginning, I wasn't too fond of the idea of having students live with us but through time, i actually began to really enjoy their company. It was pretty sad when they left, I could tell they were sad too because they weren't talking much and they wrote such sweet letters for our family. When i got home from work the day they left, I found a hand painted wooden frame in my room! It said...
"Kym, we will miss you. Bye!"
It was so sweet! I had a good laugh though because there were random words and drawings on the frame.
"I Ta Chi" "FLY" "Wang""YEAH!"
I wasn't too sure what "I Ta Chi" meant... any ideas anyone? haha!
Our 2nd set of students arrived last Wednesday and it was a rough first night! These 3 new students are the complete opposite of the first two! They are younger, more talkative, and more hyper! Our first night was rough because they were jet-lagged so at 4:45AM, I could already hear them chattering away, laughing, jumping, singing. O.o I'm sure through time i'll start enjoying their company too.
It's just hard when you start caring for someone and then before you know it, they're gone! :(

oh wow. how often do you get these students?
can i be one of them?? :D
I would be crying everytime someone leaves...
it sounds fun to have students around O_o you get to make new friends all the time! the 2nd batch of students sounds like theyd be my sis & i, when we're bored or cant sleep we'd randomly laugh at stuff o_O
It sounds fun to have different people living with you! I wish we could have someone else in my house, since my brother left to go to school.
I don't know what I Ta Chi means but I know Tai Chi Chuan (Chinese martial art/health training). Hahaha!
And yeah, it sucks when you start caring for someone and you know they have to return to their countries after a certain period of time. That's what happened to me when I have foreign students attached to my lab at work for a few months or so. Thank god for modern technology for letting us keep in touch with one another. But it's still not the same, if you know what I mean.
Anyway, look on the bright side, now you have contacts if you are visiting their country. You can have a tour or two for free! :)
ahhh... I know how it feels! It's sad... but yeah, that's what always happen, right? People come and go...
after al, there's the new 'batch' already :D heheheh...
have fun! :D
What are they there for again? Sounds fun though! Where are these students from? My dad wanted an exchange student this year (for a whole year) but my mom said no. I think it would be a blast! I bet you are learning a ton of new stuff and so much about their culture. Enjoy them!

Err...maybe it's the Japanese brand Hitachi. HAHAHAH I have no idea!
At least they made the most important part very clear--about missing their friend Kym. It's sad to get attached to someone and then they're gone so quickly. It can even happen here in blogworld with people we've never met--I won't mention any names! =) I remind myself it's still much better than never getting attached to anyone--that would suck.
More hyper? Maybe you won't get quite as attached to this pair. ;P
...people come, people go and life goes on...
Sad.
Awww... Well if I had gotten the chance to be an exchange student and live with your for a couple months then go back home I'd miss you too Kym! By the way sweetie, I left a small linky love for you over at my blog. =)
I can just imagine how sad that is :( But it's comforting to know that they will remember you as their pretty "ate" from Canada ;)
I want to apply as a foreign exchange student for the Banguis family, too! Where do I sign up?
awww! yea it's hard to get attached to people like that :P my childhood was filled with friends who ended up leaving b/c their fathers worked for whatever company who relocated them... boo!
