Bungee Jumping? Check! (well... almost)

Exactly 5 months from today, I will be tying the knot!
Before getting married though, a stagette is in order! (aka bachelorette, hen's party.. what do you call it in your country?)

My bridesmaids & i originally planned to party in Las Vegas the month before my wedding but I really couldn't get myself to spend hundreds of dollars to fly to Vegas and only stay for 1.5 days! =\

At the beginning of this week though, I got an email that the Groupon of the day is 50% off Bungee Jumping in Whistler! I decided that this would be a better alternative for my party - it'll be fun for all, a once in a lifetime experience, and something I can cross off my bucket list! Besides, I can't do things like this with my husband-to-be b/c he doesn't understand why i would pay money to jump off a bridge. hahaha!

For those that don't know, Whistler is about a 2 hour drive away from Vancouver. It is where part of the 2010 Olympics were held.

Soooo jealous. I want to sky dive. Even though I am freakin' petrified of flying. Yup. Makes a lot of sense.
I also wanted to be open to actually falling a little in love. Big time checked that one off my list.
And 5 months?!?! Holy crimeney. That's gonna come up fast sista!

my mom stopped me from doing this from the Macau Tower which is the highest, so far, I believe. it was costly.. but i really wanted to test my limits and conquer my fear of heights.

Whoa what an awesome 50% off deal! What a great way to celebrate with friends before your wedding! (: I've always wanted to do that! In fact, I have always wanted to go sky diving, but lately I've been hearing stories about how people have gotten killed when their parachutes tangled. Hmph. The closest to bungee jumping I have ever done was doing the Skycoaster! LOLOL.

you're brave. I don't know what might physically happen to me if I tried bungee jumping.

I think everyone wants to go skydiving! haha. I'd take skydiving over bungee jumping any day! I'm even a little scared to try the Gmax Reverse Bungee.

5 months!!! That's exciting.

Bachelorette is what I hear it called most often.

I usually don't plan daring things, they just sort of find me. The most daring thing I'm considering at the moment is going to a Hindu wedding in Toledo against my wife's wishes--she doesn't want to go, so I'm not supposed to either. My wife doesn't like the girl, but she's my friend and I'd like to be there to support her. Any suggestions??? =)

PS - I can't jump up off the ground, but I'd jump of the bridge with you. LOL!

when you posted this on facebook i was thinking that you were crazy. but then again... why freaking not right?

i don't think i would ever do this though :X im too scared of heights. and i almost agree with your husband to be when he says why would you pay people just so you can jump off the bridge? lol. i don't get it. that's just my fear of heights talking to yo though.. but if i got some guts i woulld so do it.

WAHHH!? you were going to las vegas?! im like ten minutes away from the strip hahaah actually if i look outside i could see the stratosphere ^__^ yay!

but it's not really a fun time to go out >.> it's too cold here in vegas. im sure you're prolly thinking that im crazy cus canada's wayyyyy colder. hahaha

How adventurous and daring! You are a gutsy bride to be x3. That actually does sound like a better choice than Vegas!

I guess something daring I'd want to do is... earn to shoot a gun! haha XD

oh how fun! I had a change to go bungee but I chickened out, I don't think I ever will now. have a great weekend!

I've always wanted to try that, but I know I would get so scared! I've already tried rappelling though, and that was also scary as hell because one wrong move and you'll be a pile of bloody mess on the mountain floor. Not a pretty picture x_x

BTW, P13,500 for a hair treatment? My gosh! But then again, my friend Dewi got hers done at this very posh salon and the coloring + hair treatment + haircut + I don't know what else cost P8,500.

Oh btw, I only pay P1,500 for my rent, but that is because my apartment is very small LOL. My former housemate and I shared a much better apartment before, we split P4,000 a month :)

I can't wait to accompany you shopping here! You might faint hahaha! :D

My mom will probably kill me if she ever finds out I pay money to jump off a bridge. LOL! That's a fun idea =] You can always have a girl's vacation later on when someone else gets marry or just time away from the guys! I want to try it one day.

Oh wow! I'm excited for you! haha
I'll never have the guts to bungee jump!
Lets see.. one daring thing I'll be doing is going paintball, no where near bungee jumping but still kinda exciting for me =D
Hope to see... let me take that back... Can't wait to see a post about your bungee jumping experience in a few months =)

haha I would have to agree with your fiance too. I wouldn't pay money because I would be too scared, and I'm terrified heights. But this definitely beats going to Las Vegas :)
I don't have a bucket list, but one thing I would like to do/improve is speaking up in front of people.

And thank you for warning about regular drinks being spiked! I have so much to learn =(
